What is Good Agricultural Practices
(GAP)
Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) is a set of standards for the safe and sustainable production of crops. This aims to help salt farmers ensure their farm operation up to high standard of production and hygiene, while minimizing environmental impact. Our Philosophy
Why “Sam Salt” ?
“Samut” also means ocean in Thai.
Salt farming is probably one of the world’s cultural heritages that is disappearing, threatened by climate change and other commercial reasons. Sam Salt would like to demonstrate to Thai salt farmers that they are able to add value to their products, through their conventional and sustainable methods and with their commitment in high standard of production.
